Animation 2020 – What’s next?

Here’s just a taster of things to come in the animation department.

Trips:
We have a few trips coming up, a trip to Lisbon to visit the Monstra Animation Festival 2020 and a trip to Slimbridge, which relates to Chris’s drawing club.

Awards:
RTS Student Awards are coming in March with three of our films nominated, which one will take the crown for best student film this year? Laura Miranda, Matt Thomas or Harriet Bradbury?
Also, we still have yet to find out how our UWE Graduates did with their BAA Public Choice Awards
…fingers crossed!

Life Briefs:
We also have some live briefs incoming for our students, a variety of briefs including:
Avon and Somerset Police Drugs Campaign, IT Maintenance Weekend Animation Brief, The Road Safety Fund, Kidscape and CONNECTED: Plant Virus an animation.

Clubs:
We’ve recently introduced a new club after trialing an idea last year. Students can join the Drawing from Life Club, run by animation lecturer Chris Webster, every Tuesday.

Workshops:
As ever, we do our best to give the students the best quality workshops and access to the best programs for animation around. These currently include the following:
