UWE Animation graduates win big at Royal Television Society Awards
Tova Persson, a recent UWE Animation graduate, won the top prize for Best Animation at the RTS award ceremony held last night at Watershed. Congratulations Tova!
A huge congratulations also to the other nominees, all UWE Animation graduates, who swept up a whole host of craft awards recognising their skills in key areas of animation.
Hoching Kwok and Luzie Ilgner both won craft awards for their skilled production design in ‘When Cicadias Sing’ and ‘Vergissmeinnicht (Forget Me Not)’, as did the talented team behind ‘The Last Straw’. Will Clarke also received a craft award for sound in his graduate film ‘Throng’.

Tova’s film will now be in the running for the national awards, taking place at Southbank this Summer. UWE Animation wish her the very best of luck and look forward to seeing more brilliant work from these graduates in the years to come.
