Young People working with Bristol School of Animation for Sharp Shotz Competition 2017!
Secondary School students from Fairfield High School in Bristol join us at UWE Bower Ashton to take part in Sharp Shotz – a competition to provide young people with opportunities to work on a project that targets problems faced by young people today…
Since 2007 Bristol School of Animation has worked with IDEAL to help secondary school pupils create a campaign based on issues that affect them. Pupils work in groups to create a pitch and a storyboard about their chosen topic – the winners of the competition will have their idea made into a film with the help of Animation and Filmmaking students and staff from UWE, as well as BBC Bristol.
This year’s topics chosen by the pupils include – forced marriage, mental health prejudice, anxiety, sexting, FGM, cyberbullying, homophobia, and self harm. You can find more information about Sharp Shotz by visiting their website here, and view previous winning ideas on our projects page.
